1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the use of services offered by Pro Action Transport, a residential moving company located in Laval, Quebec. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

2. Definitions

In these terms and conditions:

  • “We,” “our,” “us,” or “Pro Action Transport” refers to Pro Action Transport, a company established in Laval, Quebec.

  • “You,” “your” refers to the customer who books or uses our services.

  • “Services” refers to residential local, long-distance, international moving, packing, and storage services provided by Pro Action Transport.

  • “Great Canadian Van Line” refers to our partner for long-distance moves in Canada and the United States.

3. Services

3.1 Residential Moving

We provide residential moving services in the greater Montreal area, as well as long-distance and international moves.

3.2 Packing Services

We offer professional packing services to protect your belongings during transport.

3.3 Storage Services

We offer temporary or long-term storage solutions in our facilities.

4. Bookings and Quotes

4.1 Quotes

All quotes are based on the information you provide to us. The final quote may be adjusted if:

  • The quantity or volume of items to be moved changes

  • Access to loading or unloading locations differs from the information provided

  • Additional services are required on the day of the move

4.2 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only after receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from us.

5. Rates and Payments

5.1 Rate Structure

Our rates are based on:

  • The distance of the move

  • The volume or weight of items to be moved

  • Additional services requested (packing, storage, etc.)

  • The time of year (high season or low season)

  • The accessibility of departure and arrival locations

5.2 Deposit

A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking. The deposit amount will be specified in your quote.

5.3 Payment Methods

We accept payments by:

  • Credit card

  • Bank transfer

  • Certified check

  • Cash

5.4 Final Balance

The final balance must be paid on the day of the move or before delivery.

6. Cancellations and Changes

6.1 Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation more than 14 days before the moving date: 100% of the total amount charged

  • Cancellation between 7 and 14 days before the moving date: 50% of the total amount charged

  • Cancellation less than 7 days before the moving date: non-refundable deposit

6.2 Changes

Any changes to your move must be communicated in writing as soon as possible. Additional fees may apply.

7. Responsibilities and Cargo Protection

7.1 Our Responsibility

We commit to taking reasonable care of your belongings while they are in our custody. Our liability is limited according to the terms of our insurance.

7.2 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information for the quote

  • Ensuring that all items are properly prepared for the move

  • Obtaining necessary permits for truck parking

  • Being present or designating a representative during loading and unloading

7.3 Cargo Protection

Basic cargo protection is included in our services. Additional cargo protection options are available for an extra fee.

7.4 Valuable Items

We recommend that you personally transport high-value items, important documents, and sentimental objects.

8. Prohibited Items

We do not transport:

  • Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, corrosive products)

  • Weapons and ammunition without appropriate permits

  • Live plants for long-distance moves

  • Perishable goods

  • Fluids

  • Animals

9. Claims

9.1 Claim Deadline

Any claim for damage or loss must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery.

9.2 Claim Procedure

Claims must include:

  • A detailed description of the damage or loss

  • Photos of damaged items

  • An estimate of the value of damaged or lost items

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Quebec. Any dispute relating to our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec in the judidiction of Laval, Qc.

11. Force Majeure

Pro Action Transport will not be held responsible for delays or non-performance resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes, riots, terrorist acts, government restrictions, or pandemics.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Modifications will take effect upon their publication on our website.
